In continuation of his consultations and engagements with critical stakeholders in Nigeria and beyond on his decision to contest for the presidency in 2023, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will on Sunday (today) visit the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.
According to Asiwaju Progressives Oyo, Tinubu will use the visit to hold court with the Alaafin, Obas and chiefs in his domain.
The APC leader had earlier visited the Presidential Villa, where he informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his aspiration.
Since declaring for the race while speaking with State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu had interfaced with Northern leaders led by former Presidential Liaison Officer to former President Shehu Shagari, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai.
He had visited Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari and Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle to consult and also sympathise with them over the incessant bandit killings in the two states.
He met with Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, also on the same matter.
The consultations has also taken Tinubu abroad, where he met members of APC United Kingdom chapter and Nigerians in the Diaspora among others.
Only last weekend, he visited the four paramount rulers in Ogun State: Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona; Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo; Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle; and Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi.
