Unknown gunmen have again attacked the Soka Ibadan residence of the Yoruba Nation freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho.
Naija News reports that the latest attack was made known by the media aide of Igboho’s spokesperson, Mr Olayomi Koiki, in a live video.
He stated that the attack occurred on Thursday midnight when the assailants stormed the area.
According to Koiki, some men in Nigerian military uniforms carried out the attack.
Sunday Igboho’s aide stated that some persons were whisked away by the gunmen during the attack.
Details of the incident is still sketchy as the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Ayo was unable to take calls.
This online newspaper reports that this is not the first time the Yoruba activist has alleged an attack on his residence but security operatives have refused to confirm or deny such attacks.
However, the latest attack is coming less than 72 hours before the planned mega rally in Lagos State.
Naija News understands Igboho is expected in Lagos on July 3, 2021 at the Ojota park in continuation of the rally for the creation of Yoruba nation.
Similar rallies have been held in Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, and Ondo states, it will be recalled.
