Identities Of Travellers Killed By Gunmen In Plateau On Saturday Revealed

Various reactions have continued to trail the gruesome murder of some innocent travellers on Saturday in the Rukuba area of Plateau State.

As earlier reported by this news medium, not less than 22 persons were murdered in cold blood following an attack by bandits along Rukuba Road in Jos North LGA, Plateau state.

The gunmen who attacked the travellers also injured fourteen others while a total of 34 others are still missing.

The travellers were part of worshippers who were on their way to Ondo state after attending the annual zikr prayer in Bauchi, when they were attacked.

While the State Governor, Simon Lalong has declared a curfew in the affected areas, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba has also deployed a special team of Police operatives to restore calm in the area.

But in a fresh development, a report monitored by our correspondent on HumAngle has revealed the names of the travellers who were unfortunately killed during the attack on Saturday.

5. Mallam Suleiman

6. Mallam Salihu Halilu
7. Mallam Muhammadu
8. Mallam Bello Ori
9. Mallam Abdulkarim
10. Hadimin Mallam Musa Shehu
11. Alhaji Muhammadu Lawal
12. Alhaji Rugga
13. Baa Alhaji Bayo
14. Gambo Alhaji Baido
15. Alhaji Usman Lolo Shagari
16. Mallam Maude Alhaji Baido
17. Ibrahim Haruna
18. Mallam Muhammad II
19. Salihu Hunter
20. Yakubu Mallam Bello
21. Mallam Isyaku
22. Four unidentified others.

Meanwhile, gunmen suspected to be bandits have kidnapped the son of Alhaji Abubakar Maikano, a top aide and Administrative Officer to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that this is coming months after yet to be arrested burglars attacked the official residence of Maikano inside the Presidential Villa.

According to Sahara Reporters, Sanusi Maikano was kidnapped on Saturday around 8:30 pm after returning from his farmhouse.
