OAP Jumobi Omisore’s Nuru-Salam Foundation to Celebrate 10 Years Anniversary and Fund Raiser
The event which is to celebrate 10 years that the versatile Yoruba presenter started her Nuru-Salam Foundation, a Non-Governmental organisation that meets the needs of widows, orphans and other needy in the society.
With the feelers reaching us the event promises to be loaded as known and established entertainers has thrown their weight behind the anniversary. Artistes like popular Fuji musician Pasuma Alabi was seen in a short video the announce the event promising his presence, wave making hip hop star Qdot also used the same medium to announce his availability for the event.
According to Jumobi, the convener the essence of the event is to raise funds to be able to meet the needs of those who cannot afford especially during the Ramadan in her words “there are many people who will like to participate in the holy month of Ramadan but that cannot afford meals to break their fast and also observe Sahari the pre-dawn meal, our initial intention was to provide in our little way for them then people started supporting with products and foodstuff and it gradually turns to being able to provide even outside the Ramadan period and in no time it was discovered we have been doing it for 10 years to the glory of God.
“The event is just to appreciate Allah for the grace and to seek for assistance to be able to do more even now that the situations of things is harder than it used to be.” She concluded.
