Emotions flowed as sympathisers, including men, women, children gathered on Sunday to mourn the death of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji.
They besieged the Popoyemoja palace of the late Olubadan, wailing.
Some recounted their encounters with the late monarch.
Some elderly women, who were cried loudly, described the monarch as a good man who loved everyone.
A woman said: “Baba oko mi o, Baba lo, eeyan daada ni Baba (king has passed on, he was a good man).
Others chanted the oriki of late Olubadan.
Security operatives, including the police and Western Nigeria Security Network also known as Amotekun are at the palace.
